Hello…
My motivation for this work comes undoubtedly from my father. He was a farmer, then later in life a vicar. It’s given me a very tough work ethic and easy empathy for others experiences. When I’m not in the operating theatre for replacements surgeries, I’m working at A&E mending broken hips and knees.
I broke my back at age 20 and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 23 so fully understand the patient experience from the other side.
Outside of work, Chris is an accomplished sportsman and enjoys training and competing in Ironman triathlons. Previously a professional rugby player for Saracens Rugby Club, he continues to enjoy playing social sport when time allows.
Chris is the match day first team Orthopaedic surgeon for Southampton football club.
Chris lives in Winchester with his wife, three children and two dogs Wilbur and Tink.
